March 15, 2016 4:40 am Comments Off on Our HeartThe heart is a small machine that beats a thousand times a day. While the heart possesses its own command system and nervous system, its functioning can nonetheless be modified by the brain and the central nervous system.
The cardiac rhythm is under the direct influence of our emotions, anxieties and stress. Any of which can make the heart beat very quickly or in an irregular way. Whenever the oxygen rate in the blood decreases, the heartbeat’s rhythm increases. The quantity of oxygen or carbon dioxide in the blood, blood pressure, one’s level of physical activity, body heat, as well as the intensity of stress or effort are among the data that the brain transmits to the heart, altering its rhythm.
When the Heart Doesn’t work as well as it should, you may experience:
- Heartbeat disturbance – our emotions drive our heart heat
- Out of breath for no reason
- A tightness in the chest
- Uneasiness in the chest
- Pain between the shoulder blades and down the left arm
- Pain in the jaw
- Pain in the neck
- A lasting stitch
- Sudden Anguish – unprovoked anxiety
- Vertigo or a feeling of emptiness in the head
Our heart beats till we die. If it is greatly affected by an emotion, it can go haywire at times. Our emotions go straight to our heart.
How to take care of our heart
There are two ways to take care of your hear – 1) Physical and 2) Nutritional
Cardiovascular workshop – from a physical view point, we can:
- Train the muscle
- Stretch
- Watch out for extremes and transitions
From a nutritional point of view, we can:
- Improve your diet
- Avoid cooked fats, excess sugar, alcohol, creams.
- Eat soluble fibre
- Stop smoking
There is also psychological point of view:
- Relaxing – taking time out for yourself
- Meditation
- Doing yoga
- Getting massages
